The Pigtails & Crewcuts site was due for a complete redesign. While it didn’t exactly match where the brand was in 2021, the hardware was out of date, non-responsive and getting harder to update by the day. It was time for a change.
While rebuilding the site, the franchise system’s point of sale system was developing an app. The new site had to integrate with the new app and point of sale system. Another challenge was how to compress the site from 60+ child sites all managed by multiple people into one site with a dedicated maintenance team.
Balancing bright color blocks with plenty of white space helped to clean up the overall look and layout. Reducing the text on the site by 20% and including custom shapes from the brand helped to tie the website to the current marketing material. Additional features, like a parent/customer resource section and promoting the franchise sales department, help to position Pigtails & Crewcuts as experts in the growing children’s hair care industry.
